The project will be called ‘Portraits from the Precipice. In October 2019, a "Portraits from the Precipice" project was announced. The artists were supposed to show in their works the process of global warming and its destructive impact on the planet, which results into extreme weather conditions and melting of the polar ice caps, which are the global problems that people have never faced before. I was very keen to become a part of this project – not for the money, but in order to draw attention to "Portraits from the Precipice" to make people from all over the world know about this problem. So I started creating a collage. It wasn't difficult for me, I didn't have to rack my brains about the thing and knew what it would look like from the start. The inspiration came from Greta Thunberg and the children from all over the world who supported her, who joined the "Skolstrejk för klimatet" and "Fridays For Future, FFF" mov

Recollection.               It was already past midnight, but I couldn’t fall asleep...               Inspiration came to me ... the whole room was flooded with small magazine clippings, so many ideas were whirling in my head ... I was creating one picture after another and could not stop. In this way I was creating collages until morning. Private collection.  China, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States            And almost all the 2017 passed in such a rhythm. During this time, I created about 350 collages, from which about 250 pieces were sold in more than 20 countries. In a private collection United States I decided to present the rest of them as a gift to future purchasers (collectors) of my works, since I stopped creating collages and started to draw on paper and canvas. Series Wood Frame House 21 X 21 cm        Currently I spend much time watching frame houses, more precisely, the process of their creation. They inspire me. Series Wood Frame House 21 X 21 cm        When I look at the construction of an unfinished building, I see some kind of mess, and it is very interesting: the house is not built yet, the boards are in different positions, and they are not yet in their place. Now I have many ideas which series of sculptures to make on frame wooden house theme. But so far I'm working on drawings and studying color combinations, because looking at a wooden structure I imagine a white sheet of paper. I want to draw all over it. Creating an Album

Image
Sometimes it happens that you want to draw in silence. You create a drawing or a sculpture and all thoughts are focused on the process. But this very seldom happens to me. Most often I listen to music.              Before I created my album Dance of the Philosophers in 2017, I had listened to such musicians and composers as: Oleg Karavaitchuk, Cecil Taylor, Ornette Coleman and others. I still enjoy their music. But at that moment I had a desire to hear other sounds, or rather my own improvisation. Oleg Karavaitchuk Cecil Taylor Ornette Coleman               In the distant school years, I learned to play the accordion. But it was so long ago that I was not able to remember anything from the course taken. And there was not a single musical instrument at my hand. But I found a way out of the current situation. I installed several applications on my computer and started to create my own music.  At that time I was not going to rele

They existed. They lived…

Art Project "Extinct Animals" They existed. They lived… We could even see one of them in childhood at the zoo. Some of them disappeared forever long before our birth. Vitaliy Lishko’s project is a reminder to the inhabitants of the planet that, it turns out, not everything in life "goes back to normal". There is something that can be lost forever. Life is the most fragile thing on the Earth. To preserve it, it is worth to unify our efforts. Those that have gone extinct… A little time will pass, and they will revive in Vitaliy’s book and music album, becoming colorful illustrations. And in the meantime... Silhouettes, showing through the black background, catch the eye: “Do you recognize me? Of course, you don’t. We have never had time to meet... ” The movements of the brush fascinate, make you look into the messy touches through which some kind of bright and already distant image appears somehow imperceptibly and as if by itself.

Art Project “Extinct Animals”

Art Project “Extinct Animals” In this project I want to draw every animal that is on the list of extinct animals, in my style. For each animal, I will create a musical composition.  I want to publish a book based on these drawings. The creation process can be seen on this channel - Lishko Vitaliy Just think, that we will no longer be able to see these animals alive! This tragedy concerns each of us. Let’s do this project together, to keep the memory of these creatures alive, and to help remember them, and to try to prevent it in the future.
